Privacy Policy

Last updated August 30, 2026

At ExitZero, we build tools to help you practice for production. We believe privacy should be simple, transparent, and built with common sense. We do not sell your personal data, and we only collect what is strictly necessary to run, secure, and improve our platform.

What we collect and why

  • Account Data: When you sign up, we collect your email address to establish your identity, save your progress, and communicate with you about your account.
  • Interview & Lab Activity: We record your interview transcripts, lab scenarios, and performance scores so you can review your history and track your improvement over time.
  • Security & Abuse Prevention: To protect our infrastructure and paid AI features from abuse, we temporarily record a salted hash of the network address used during sign-up and authentication. We do not store raw IP addresses for this purpose, and a network address is treated as a velocity signal, never as an identity.

How we use AI

ExitZero uses advanced AI models to generate realistic interview scenarios, provide mentorship, and evaluate your answers.

When you complete an interview or lab, the text of your actions and spoken answers is securely transmitted to our AI partners (like Google Cloud) solely for the purpose of grading and feedback. Your personal data and transcripts are never used to train our AI partners' foundational public models.

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data with trusted infrastructure providers (like our hosting, database, and AI service providers) strictly for the purpose of operating ExitZero. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements.

Your rights

You own your data. If you wish to delete your account, access your data, or have any questions about how we handle your privacy, please use our Contact page to get in touch. We will process data deletion requests promptly.
